RSM US has promoted Stacy Dow to head of financial consulting and managed services. She is based in Boston.

Dow – who has been at RSM since 2010 – will oversee strategy, execution, and operations for the accountancy’s financial consulting practice, which offers services in valuation, investigations, restructuring, and litigation and disputes. She will also continue to lead the firm’s managed services practice, which offers managed IT services and outsourced finance, accounting, internal audit, compliance, and tax services.

Dow brings more than 30 years of audit, tax, and financial consulting experience to the role. She joined the firm 12 years ago as a partner focusing on audit and financial consulting engagements in the high-tech industry. She subsequently launched RSM’s technical accounting consulting practice, leading the practice through a rapid growth period as it developed offerings to support clients undergoing transformative events, new standards implementation, and technology adoption.

Before joining RSM, Dow spent nearly two decades at accounting firm Caturano and Company, where she was latterly a partner.

She holds a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley University, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a CPA certification.

“Stacy is a respected leader at RSM,” said  Brian Becker, national consulting leader and CEO-elect at RSM US. “She is known for creating a collaborative environment that promotes innovation amongst her team and developing new service offerings and relevant solutions to support our clients with their evolving challenges and opportunities.”

Dow added, “Our clients’ needs are growing amid an increasingly complex financial reporting framework, and they have sophisticated stakeholders who need accurate financial reporting, valuation and measurement based on trends, forecasting and other factors. They are also facing staff shortages, technology changes and cybersecurity threats that make day-to-day business operations more challenging. We are committed to helping our clients navigate this complexity to ensure their business is in a strong position to achieve its objectives.”

The Chicago-headquartered mid-market accounting and consulting firm recently selected Pat Vance to succeed Becker as national consulting leader.
