Greenwich Hospital earns Women’s Choice Awards for its patient experience and cancer care

The Women’s Choice Awards has named Greenwich Hospital as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience and Cancer Care in 2022.

By carrying the Women’s Choice Award, Greenwich Hospital is part of an elite national network of health-care facilities committed to providing the highest level of care and empowering individuals to make informed health-care choices. The two top Women’s Choice Awards are among several presented to Greenwich Hospital.

“We’re so proud that this award recognizes the excellent care provided by our staff based on the opinions of the satisfied patients in our community,” said Diane Kelly, president of Greenwich Hospital.  “This is a testament to our ongoing commitment to provide an exceptional patient experience each and every time.”

The Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Greenwich is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a comprehensive community cancer program, offering advanced diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and survivorship services.


The Patient Experience Award is presented to organizations whose patients said they “would definitely recommend” the hospital when completing the federal Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey.

Locals make Dean’s List at James Madison

James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., announced that two local students made the Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester for earning a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

The honored students are Katherine Walko of Cos Cob, who is majoring in kinesiology, and Elizabeth Stahl of Greenwich, who is majoring in psychology.
